Hey guys! My team and I just made it to Malaysia, it is so beautiful here, but I can’t currently share everything about it till after we leave so stay tuned!

Recap of the past three months!

Wow where to begin… well we arrived in Swazi and were blessed to reunite with the rest of our squad that had been split the previous month. AIM has a base and amazing staff established in Swazi. Our time at the base was a mixed bag to say the least- we had everything from insane thunderstorms, black mambas ( the most poisonous snake in the world), these bugs that we still don’t know the name of, scorpions galore, mornings of worship I will never forget, gorgeous sunsets, pranks, unique cows, and the lovely pet chicken someone named Muhammad.

Life in Swazi is so simple. Our days consisted of long kumbi rides to ministry, which entailed home visits and playing with children for hours covered in dirt or mud. The Lord ministered to me so much during this time about my identity and grew me so much. We saw so much healing at home visits and made lovely young friends at the care points with the kids and GOGOs (grandmother cooks.)

Some of my favorite ministry hosts names were Mfantini, Sfiso, Tandi, and Deli! Let me tell you guys about Deli- she might just be the most passionate friend I’ve ever met. Deli is a nutcase, this woman was something else, such a Godly woman that leads so well but also loves like crazy. Every Monday we would have a prayer meeting/ devotional and at the end I was walking arm in arm with Deli (as two sensible gals would) and the men were having a semi serious conversation sitting in a circle of chairs. As we’re walking Deli nonchalantly shoves me into the chairs the men were in and made it look like I aggressively interrupted and they all just stopped and stared-to say the least I love her so very much!!!!

Saint Lucia

In Swazi foreigners only get a month long visa so as we were renewing it we hopped back over to St. Lucia SA and got to explore this cute little beach town and swim in the Indian Ocean. While I was in the market we saw God move so much! This lady got healed, and we got to pray over almost every single vendor, God gave me a word of knowledge about pain three people were having, so much happened- the full story is on my facebook if y’all want to check it out ❤️ God was truly so faithful, I had wanted to see God move in a huge way for myself with my own eyes in South Africa like so many had the months before and I had asked Him to not let me leave without seeing it, but instead He brought me back to see it!

All the things:

The last few weeks of our time in Swazi were insanely packed with things! we packed about 8 times in a few weeks, Some of our parents came out to the field and see what life is like, my dad came and visited, we had a lovely debrief back in South Africa- don’t even get me started on crazy Dave’s- and then Awakening!

Awakening was almost a week revival in Manzini, EsWatini. Two other squads joined us, one we launched with in August and the other were a semesters group which resulted in over 100 of us! Adventures In Missions staff (AIM) facilitated the revival and taught on so much deliverance, forgiveness and freedom. I personally had been dealing with some mental oppression for months that I had been warring against and was set free from!! Praise the living God! Along with some things God brought up that i didn’t even realize i needed to forgive.

We were truly blessed to be poured into and be served so well during that time. I was honored with getting to lead worship for the first time which was incredible. Honestly the area of the body I’m most comfortable and confident in is teaching and preaching, I was blessed to spend two semesters in ministry school before graduating last July and had been equipped in that area but I had never branched into leading worship corporately. I have a really sweet testimony from leading of butterflies and actually collapsing from His kindness in worship that I would love to share in person 🦋

Sneak peek

Currently there are two of our teams here in Malaysia, but in a few weeks we are having a whole other squad join us for the remainder of our time here which will be so exciting! One thing to note is that my squad is all female except for 4 men, which has been interesting and actually ministered to me so much of what living with 30 sisters is like. I personally have all brothers- one of which is getting married next month while I’m on the field- shout out to Him and prayers for him and his soon to be wife ❤️ All of that to say the past two weeks having so many Godly men around that love so honorably and serve so selflessly has been a blessing beyond words. I am genuinely glad to have pretty much an all women squad for the purpose of learning to live in a female community and experiencing some “girlhood things” if you will, and making some deep lasting friendships.

Well friends that is the end of the recap, there is so much more to share that would take another three months to write. I do not currently have the service to upload all the photos that I would like, but I should at the end of our time in Malaysia!

Thank you all for your support thus far. God has, is, and will be changing my life and others, so thank you all for being apart of it. Only two more months left sadly but we’re finishing strong! Until next time

With all love and respect and some Chinese food

Isabella.
